Abstract ceramic wall plaque
French Canadian artist Denise Cantin – 70’s
Huge three story mid-century styled wall mosaic located in Munich; artist unknown.
The Fall of Icarus – Picasso
Commissioned in 1957, the trapezoid-shaped mural is located in the main hall of the conference building at UNESCO Headquarters, Paris.
THE composition had to be cut in order to fit the architectural structure of the hall, which is why Picasso’s signature is missing, and at the time Unesco thought the mural was too modern.
The 40 panel mural was initially titled “The Forces of Life and the Spirit Triumphing over Evil”, but was renamed in 1958 by George Salles, who gave the mural its current title, “The Fall of Icarus”.

I have à ceramic plate with the same motive as “Dancing Gypsy” above. Who has manufactured that? On my plate it says Viker Germany. I am not sure about Viker?
Best regards
Johan Ericsson
Amazing
I have the set of the gypsy dancer and accordionist wall plaques. Can you tell me who the artist and/ or studio that created them? Thanks
I have a wall installation of 5 pieces by Vallin. 3 medium size pieces and 2 large. The are done in the Etruscan style, horse, lion with bird, ram and a large centerpiece of abstract circles. The texture and colors are amazing. I cannot find anything on the artist. His signature varies in style but all are signed Vallin or B. Vallin. The carry another mark that looks like a large C surrounding an H E. I am very good at research but I am stumped. I believe these pieces to be from the 60’s. They were purchased by my grandparents from a place called Artz I believe. The sales tag is still attached. Any information regarding the artist would be greatly appreciated.
We have a wall grouping of three brown colors with a stamp on back of N- 14 originallly bought at k-mart for 29.97 . Thirty years ago still love them.
I am looking for ceramic mural tiles by G. Galian (Perpignan) 1960. Can you give me some directions? Thank you.

Hi, I have recently acquired a Wall plaque that has an Abstract white, black and blue design. It is Signed P.P. on the front and the backside is marked Italy.
Thank you for any help!
I worked for Stan Bitters for a short time and his work is still being made at the age of 85. Remarkable work ethic.
